Event providers’ FAQs

KidsFest is proudly produced by Christchurch City Council. However, most events and activities within the KidsFest programme are run independently by a variety of event organisations, businesses and groups within the Christchurch, Selwyn and Waimakariri Districts.

This year Kidsfest will run from the 6th to the 21st of July.

Event listings must be submitted for approval no later than 10th of May.

Tickets will be available to the public from 5pm on the 24th of June.

No, KidsFest is theme free now so let your imagination go wild with ideas.
No, KidsFest will not be producing an events brochure any longer. Instead we have online options so people can build their own schedule to help be more sustainable.
All KidsFest events require a health and safety plan which helps us know you understand and can mitigate any risks to the public whilst hosting events. You can find how-to guides with templates in the resource section.
Police vetting is only required if you are working one on one with children that have additional needs and caregivers are not present at the event.
