A charming and delightful play for young people, adapted from the book by E. B. White by Joseph Robinette, and directed by Michelle Histen for Riccarton Players at The Little Theatre, Rangi Ruru Girls School, Merivale Lane. Performing Fri 15 to Sun 17 July and Weds 20 to Sat 23 July. Weekdays at 7pm and weekends at 11am and 2 pm.
All the wonderfully endearing characters are here, Wilbur, the irresistible young pig, Fern, a girl who understands animal ‘speak’, Templeton, the rat who can occasionally be talked into a good deed, all our farmyard friends and most of all the extraordinary spider, Charlotte.
This production is a traditional re-telling of this wonderful children’s classic – a beautiful, knowing play about friendship that will leave audiences delighted and enchanted. Give your young ones a taste of the adventure of live theatre these holidays, with some fine storytelling and heart-worming performances. Not to be missed.
